

On a somber day, we gather to honor and remember the incredible life of Martha Ellen Driver, affectionately known as Marty, who gracefully departed from our midst on June 20th, 2023. Aged 72, she succumbed to complications from pneumonia, leaving a void that can never be filled. Born on June 28th, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, Marty was embraced by the loving arms of Elmer and Francis Cassidy.
Marty's life was forever entwined with that of her eternal companion and best friend, James Carey Driver, whom she married on December 23rd, 1968. For 54 years, their unwavering love and devotion served as an enduring testament to the power of a soulful connection. Together, they built a legacy that touched the lives of countless others.
As a devoted wife and mother, Marty poured her heart and soul into her family, leaving an indelible impression on her three children. Her selfless nature and boundless love were the guiding light that shaped their lives. A pillar of strength, she shared her time and affection generously, extending her nurturing embrace to all who crossed her path. Marty dedicated herself to the children's programs at Stockbridge Community Church, leaving an indelible impact on the hearts of young ones.
In her professional endeavors, Marty flourished in the legal field, dedicating her remarkable skills and unwavering loyalty to a distinguished attorney whom she considered family. Her genuine care for his young, growing family knew no bounds, as she lovingly knitted blankets for each new addition, boasting with pride that she had "raised him fresh out of law school!" For years, she faithfully served him until her well-deserved retirement.
Marty's life embodied the essence of God's unconditional love, exemplifying kindness, discipline, compassion, and forgiveness in every aspect. Her radiant spirit illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her, leaving an everlasting impact that will be cherished for generations to come.
Marty leaves behind her beloved husband, Carey, and their children: Jeremy Driver (Nicole), Dawn Morris (Chris), and Marsha Leathers. Her grandchildren, Justin Driver, Lauren Leathers, Ashley Deas (Jovan), Sierra Worthen (Justin), Sydney Driver, Jack Leathers, Tye Evans (Anabel), Luke Leathers, Mia Leathers, Jacob Driver, and Abigail Driver, will forever hold her memory close. Additionally, her great-grandchildren, Ayden Leathers, Atlas Leathers, Tyler Evans, and Juliana Worthen, will carry her love in their hearts. Marty's legacy also extends to her nine sisters and three brothers: Sue Cassidy, Kathryn (David, deceased) Lundquist, Wesley (Jane) Cassidy, Johnathan (Linda) Cassidy, David Cassidy, Karen (Alex) Nuzzo, Rebecca (Gary) Tillman, Frances (Frank) Titoni, Colleen (James) Benedetto, Nancy (John) Kopecky, Janine (Richard) DeCoste, Jullene (Steve) Cocozza. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Daniel Cassidy.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel in Stockbridge, GA.
