Just want you guys to know that I still think so fondly of your mom/grandmother.  She was my mentor and my friend for many years and I miss her laugh *( I can still hear it in my head), I miss her humor, I miss her kindness and love of all humans, and I miss her down to earth life philosophy.  She was a gem!  


My family lived across the street from Linda's family from  1956 until I entered the US Army in 1966.  Linda was my first date to a prom in May, 1960.  She always had a warm heart and great smile.  She married Doug and I didn't see her until a neighborhood reunion several years ago.  She will be missed.

Met Linda in 1967 when I was 18 and she was 20, and she immediately took me under her wing at Southern Bell. I never met such a hard working, fun loving person. She would do anything for anybody. Time passed and life got in the way of seeing each other but I loved her like a sister. Fly high my dear friend. I hope Heaven is ready for you!

Worked with Linda back in the day. she was a wonderful person, great sense of humor.  Always looked forward to her coming to the center, knew that I was in for a good time and lots of laughs. We had fun but worked hard. Linda was just an all around awesome person. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to all of her family. 

So many memories of working with Linda at BellSouth.  So much laughter!  We were teammates, sometimes travel mates, but most of all we were friends.  Her smile was contagious.  She could tell such stories of her family and their antics.  She loved her children and grandchildren to the utmost!  She would do anything for anyone in need; others always came first.  I remember an incident where she encountered an apparent homeless person who collapsed in front of her on her way into work.  She did not hesitate to start CPR - which included mouth-to-mouth resuscitation back then  - until the paramedics arrived.  Her concern was not for herself, but for another human who needed someone to save his life.  Memories, there are many.  Although I did not stay in contact with Linda as much as I intended, I considered her one of my most loved friends, and I will miss her.  My prayers are that God will comfort Doug, Terri, Tammy, all the grands, and her siblings.  The center for this family is physically gone, but I know her influence will last all their lives. 

I worked with Linda for several years in Jonesboro Georgia for Southern Bell she had a greatsenseof humor  loved people,we shared stories about Forest Park my husband grew up in that area and family knew each other. She was a fair, honest and beautiful lady .My condolances to you Doug and all the family. sincerely ,Jane Morris
