It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Larry Wayne Vance on May 24, 2024. Larry is survived by his son, Christopher (Jennifer) and sisters Mary Ann Palmer and Serena Crocker (Clay).
Larry was born on Wednesday January 10, 1951, to Cebert and Lena Vance. First son and second child. Eventually there were a total of 4 siblings-another brother and 3 sisters.
Larry graduated Stockbridge High School in 1969 and attended Griffin Tech obtaining a draftsman degree.
Larry was an Army veteran having served as a medic in Hawaii during the Vietnam War assisting those soldiers returning to the states. His dates of service were 5/5/1971 thru 2/5/1973.
Larry was an amazing person. He was a good son, a good brother and mostly a great father. He was an amazing Pop-Pop. He loved his grandkids and his family with everything he had. He loved to listen to what we had to say, except when he was being stubborn, LOL. We shared a lifetime of memories, and he will always and forever be missed. I love you, dad.
A visitation of family and friends will be held for Larry on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10:30 – 11:00 at Stockbridge Community Church, 4401 GA-155N, Stockbridge, GA. 30281. Memorial Service will start at 11:00. Graveside services will follow at Horis Ward Fairview Gardens.
