Kathleen Patricia McDevitt

Kathleen passed away on June 19, 2022, after fighting a long battle with an infection that was inoperable. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Kathleen retired from Army Air Force Exchange Services at Fort Gillem in Forest Park, GA after 20 years of service to spend quality time with her family. Kathleen was married to the love of her life, Michael H. McDevitt, for 39 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Roberts (Ted) and sons, Mike McDevitt (Donna) and Rodney McDevitt (Dawn); six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren that she adored, as they did her; as well as one sister, Diane Franklin (Gerald). Kathleen was preceded in death by three siblings, Louise Rawlings, Grady Nesbit and Donald Ford. She is also survived by many many nieces and nephews she loves deeply as she has been the last link to some of their parents and grandparents. Kathleen was the sweetest kindest most loving and giving woman to loved ones and absolute strangers. She was always willing and ready to lend a hand to anyone. Her giving spirit and loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation of family and friends for Kathleen will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A visitation of family and friends will occur Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A graveside committal service will occur Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
