So sorry your dad had such a rough time there at the end but we was blessed to have daughters that loved and cared for him the whole way through his journey. So hard to do but special one on one time which meant a lot to him I am sure. Roselyn Wingo Clay

The Gunter family and the Bassett family have some special memories that go back several years.  This family means a lot to our son Mike Bassett and Mike is so happy that he had the opportunity to visit with Mr. Gunter on Sunday, Sept. 15.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I did not know your father but he raised a wonderful daughter and grandchildren. May God bless and comfort you and my you have MANY wonderful memories of him, after all To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

The last time I visited Lucille and JT, he still had a great sense of humor.  He was a sweet man, always smiling.  I will miss him but he's finally healed of the "Cancer" now (in Heaven).   My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.

Thank you for the opportunity to have cared for John.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Gunter was one of the finest, God-fearing men I've ever known.  I have a lot of fond memories of him, and he taught me a lot growing up in the church about the Lord, life, and how to carry myself.  These lessons have carried over into my adult life.  He will be greatly missed.  Love and prayers to you always.
