Pastor John was born on July 5, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia to John Vance Bratcher and Levie Ann Brown Bratcher. He and is family were members of True Gospel Lighthouse Apostolic Church of Madison, Georgia. He served as pastor to many for over 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters and three brothers.
The life of Pastor John Lamar Bratcher, Sr. will forever be honored and cherished by his loving wife, Betty Jean Bratcher; children, Janet and Bill Muckenfuss of Stockbridge, Georgia, John, Jr. and Deanna Bratcher of Covington, Georgia, Michael and Pamela Bratcher of Social Circle, Georgia and Gary and Angela Bratcher of Madison, Georgia; grandchildren, Tiffany and Daniel Beason, Danielle Muckenfuss, Jeremy and Melaine Bratcher, Kristina and Jonathan Kegenbien, Wendy and Andy Brigmond, Kevin and Becky Bratcher, Kelly and Rusty Wilson, Dillon and Lainie Bratcher and Hannah Bratcher; great-grandchildren, Noah Bratcher, Zachary Bratcher, Naomi Grace Beason, Leland Bratcher, Chance Kegenbien, Layken Bratcher, Lillie Bratcher, Josiah Bratcher, Zoey Brigmond, Logan Bratcher, Ezra Batcher, Maci Brigmond, Lena Wilson and Lynxton Bratcher; great-great-grandchild, Grayson Bratcher; one sister, one brother; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia where the Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM. Interment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
