Joan L. Furches, age 84, of McDonough, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 1 pm, with Alec Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
She is survived by: son, Victor L. & Peggy Furches, daughters; CynD Furches & Rick Jones, Denise Marie Furches and Julia F. & Billy O’Dell, grandchildren; Justin Jones, Trevor & Julie Jones, Kendal & Josh Elliot and Amber & Garrett Womble, great-grandson; Jackson Brody Jones, siblings, Earl Long, Mae Smith and Tom & Emma Long.
She was preceded in death by her loving Fred M. Furches of 56 years.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 12 to 1 pm at the funeral home.
