Jane B. Prince

Jane Prince, 81, passed away at her home in Stockbridge, Georgia on Sunday, August 13, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on March 29, 1942, to B.F. and Dorothy Babb of Chatsworth, Georgia

Jane was a registered nurse for 61 years and used her caring hands to minister as a hospital nurse, a high school educator, as head of a hospital Education Department, as an Occupational Health Nurse, as a volunteer with Hands of Hope healthcare and to minister to family and friends sick and recovering at their homes.

Jane is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank Prince, by her (3) children: Sherri (Steve) Marusich, Teresa (Scott) Hollowell, and Blake (Kristen) Prince, and by (8) grandchildren and (1) great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Dr. Marcella Rhodes and many nieces and nephews.

Jane was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Stockbridge, where her husband is pastor. She served as head of the Women’s Ministry, leader of the Church Prayer Team and as Ladies Sunday School teacher. She also led the Red Hatters of Faith as their Red Hat Queen. She loved traveling with her husband in their motorhome, planning and attending Red Hat activities, sewing, and doing crafts with her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Horis Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia on Friday, August 18, 2023, with pastor Stan Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and the service will be at 1:00 pm. Faith Baptist Church will host a meal in the fellowship hall following the service. They are located at 346 Highway 138 East, Stockbridge, Georgia.
