James was born in Riverdale Ga to Rusty and Rhonda Phillips
Josh was a child of God and a believer of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was a son a big brother a nephew a uncle an amazing friend and a lover of people. He was an adventurous person, a devout Ga bulldog fan with a love for the red and black that was passed on to him and his brother by their dad.
There was no convincing Josh he wasn't a NASCAR Driver, he was a Dale Ernhardt fan and believed the number 3 wasn't just a lucky number it was a way of life. He loved to hunt and fish; he was always the life of the party and loved music and dancing. He thoroughly enjoyed playing video games especially with his nephew Caleb Phillips.
Josh was highly intelligent very inquisitive with an amazingly keen intellect. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved cracking jokes. Josh was big hearted and vibrant and radiated light, he accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms and a perpetual smile. Josh firmly believed in his heritage and the Phillips family name. He was a true animal lover who had a unique way of communicating with all animals. He once caught a big ole bass with just a piece of fishing line a hook and his finger. He loved to build a fire and believed all you needed to start a fire was some sticks and a Bic.
His sudden departure from this world comes as a tremendous shock and the deepest wound which is gravely felt by his entire family and countless friends who loved and adored him because he was loyal, genuinely kind and a loving guy.
Preceded in death by Rusty Phillips and survived by Rhonda and Matthew Phillips.
