James Richard Brannan

Mr. James Richard Brannan age 68 and lifelong resident of Henry County passed away August 19th. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. He was a business man and home builder more than 30 years. He served as a member of the County Development Authority and Henry County Board of Commissioners (1981-1982), serving as Commission Chair during that time. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend. He is survived by his wife;Cindy Brannan. Son;Jeffery and Janet Brannan. Daughters; Jennifer and Ed Hoyas, Jessica and Matt Anderson. Grandchildren; Cody, Claire,and Peyton Brannan. Audrey and Ally Anderson and Sophie Hoyas. Brothers; Lewis O., Raymond, Horace, George and Tom Brannan. Sister; Martha Mann. 4 step children, 4 step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis B. and Stella Sellars Brannan. Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday August 21st at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel with Matt Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00-2:00pm. Horis A.
