Harold was born on September 18, 1929 in Glenville, North Carolina to Gus Bryson and Lillian Mary Creswell Bryson. After graduating high school, he cut timber for his uncle, until moving to Georgia. He then began working for Ford Motor Company and retired as a trim line repair mechanic, after many years of service.
He met Betty Jean Wiggins and made her a promise, “If you marry me I will take care of you for the rest of your life.” Harold made and kept that promise and took care of her for over 71 years.
Harold never had an enemy in this world. He loved everyone. He took pride in being ordained Deacon Harold Bryson, serving faithfully at True Gospel Baptist Church in Forest Park, Georgia. He and his family later joined Way of the Cross Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eugene Bryson.
Harold will always be in our hearts and his life will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Betty Jean Bryson; daddy’s girls, Gail Adams (Keith) and Shelia Webb (Brad); grandchildren, Sam Adams (Michelle), Stephen Adams (Robyn) and Misty Amerson (Khris); six great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon at Way of the Cross Baptist Church, 1640 Mount Carmel Road, McDonough, Georgia 30253, where the Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 Noon. The Interment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia.
