From the age of 7 months, due to circumstances beyond her control, Elizabeth was to be raised by her grandparents, Ronald and Adair Savage. Trials of early months brought tough decisions. The feelings of insecurity made her fear. Little things, common to most, would scare her. As life moved on, she continued to feel safe. As she grew, she became confident, more sure. She soon blossomed and laughter was born.
She tackled new things, no longer afraid, experienced travel to new places and things. Eager to learn, horizons expanded, no bounds, looked forward to the possibilities this brings. Elizabeth loved making new friends too. She had the brightest smile and warmest heart.
Teen years brought difficulties, large and small, learning from life's trials, its ups and downs, taking some hard knocks, stumbling through life. Some days not much laughter, a few more frowns.
The joys and trials along the way made her who she was; winning and losing, warm, loving, kind, rebellious, and contrite.
She loved the water, whether lake, ocean, or pool. Loved her pets too. She explored her dreams, playing the piano, flute, singing and dancing. Enjoying friends and family. Hiking the mountain trails with grandparents Warren and Carol too. Laughter, jokes, funny, trying to be cool.
She graduated high school with honors and was accepted to Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia.
In 2018, she opened the door to knowing her mom, dad, and siblings. In 2020, she embarked on a new adventure by moving in with her dad where it brought her great joy getting to know him.
She is all of things that life brings to us. Some good, some bad, always learning. Growing through life experiences. Looking for purpose, looking for love, looking for peace.
Life cut short was in God's plan. She didn't, we didn't understand. But faith carries us with trust in Him. By the grace of God, we move on and hold his hand. We take comfort in our loss knowing Elizabeth is safe, happy, loved, and healed in the presence of our heavenly Father.
