Edward G. Tirrell, Sr.

Edward was born in Orange, Connecticut on March 16, 1940 to the late Fred and Vera Tirrell. He was the youngest of ten children and had four brothers and five sisters. Ed was an avid NASCAR fan and he never missed a race. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a great navigator with a love for traveling, planning family trips and gatherings. Ed was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Fred and Vera Tirrell, Edward was preceded in death by one son, Edward Glen Tirrell, Jr. and one daughter, Melanie Revis. He is survived by a loving wife of 38 years, Mrs. Holly L. Tirrell of Stockbridge, GA; three daughters, Deena Hudson (Jim), Lisa Waters, and Kelli Floyd (Donnie); one stepson, Robbie Revis; ten grandchildren, Meranda Wheeler, Mark Waters (Kendra), Dillan Waters (Lacey), Hope Tirrell, Nicolas Floyd, Reanna Revis (Cody), Ethan Revis, James Hudson, Claire Hudson, and Christopher Hudson; and two great-grandchildren, Devin Wheeler and Will Waters.

A visitation will be held Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home – Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, GA 30281. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Services will conclude with a mausoleum entombment in Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, GA 30281. Pastor Ken Davidson, officiating.
