Born on June 1, 1941, to Ethel and Coley Scarbrough, Donald lived a life dedicated to service, family, and faith.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Judy Marie Scarbrough, his devoted son, Donny Scarbrough (Cheryl), and his cherished daughter-in-law, Chrissy Scarbrough. He also leaves behind one sister, Delores Benton. His vibrant spirit will continue to live on through his six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, whom he held dear.
He is reunited in death with his parents, Ethel and Coley Scarbrough; his son, Bradley Scarbrough; as well as his brothers, Gene Scarbrough (Carolyn) and Russell Scarbrough (Sally).
Donald was a proud serviceman, having served in the United States Navy Reserves for several years. After 40 years of service, he retired from Oce Bruning Company in 1995???. His career continued in the Henry County School System from 1995 to 2009, where he displayed a commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
A devout attendee at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Donald's faith played a central role in his life. He loved singing bass in the choir and was a member of the Scarbrough Quartet. Donald brought joy to many children's faces for countless years, fully embracing his role as their beloved Santa. Donald lived a life filled with family, dedication, and love. He was a beacon of strength for those who knew him and his memory will continue to serve as an inspiration.
A graveside celebration of his life and inurnment will be held for Donald on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
