Charlotte Carol (Collins) Dowdy

Charlotte was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 28, 1933 to William and Dora Collins. She worked as a collections agent for nearly 35 years and later after retirement, she worked as a cashier. Charlotte loved spending time with family, was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. She gave of herself and loved God.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Curtis W. Dowdy and siblings, Earl Collins, Troy Collins, Bill Collins, Wesley Collins, Bessie Riley, Dorothy Simmons, Marie Pendley, and Vernell Sellars.

Her life will forever be remembered and cherished by her loving children, Loretta O'Bright (Mike), Carol Dotson (Mike), David Dowdy (Sherri) and Brenda Revis (Bo); grandchildren, Jason, Jenny, Kevin, Gary, Joshua, Andrew, Luke, Wendy, Teresa, Codi and Tammy; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Ilene Tarpley; a host of other relatives and family friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Charlotte Dowdy will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 5:00PM-8:00PM and Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 10:00AM-11:30AM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, where a service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:30AM. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
