Brittany was born May 24, 1992 to Steve and Sheila Johnson. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a faithful servant of Glen Haven Baptist Church for many years. She participated in a number of beauty pageants throughout the years and was crowned several titles, including Ms. Dutchtown High. As a 2012 graduate of Dutchtown High School, Brittany went on to assist in instructing sign language classes at Clayton State University. She also enjoyed her time as a team member at Truett’s Grill. Most of all, she loved her pets, traveling to different destinations, and helping with children during Vacation Bible School at her church. Brittany was known and loved by countless family members and friends and she will be dearly missed by all.
Brittany is survived by her parents, Sheila Johnson and Steve Johnson (Donna); four siblings, Shaun Brown, Boone Cunningham, Samantha Barry, and Hayley Cunningham; grandparents, Betty McKeen and Bud Johnson (Alice); boyfriend, Ruslan Yushchick; and her beloved fur-babies, Charlie, Bella, and Peaches.
Brittany was preceded in death by two grandparents, Gordon McKeen and Elizabeth Johnson. Brittany also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends to cherish her memory.
A visitation for Brittany will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. A Celebration of Brittany’s Life will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Glen Haven Baptist Church, 345 East Lake Road, McDonough, GA 30252. Immediately following will be a committal service at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
