Brenda Sue Tanner, age 71 of Ellenwood, GA, beloved wife for over 55 years to Harry A. Tanner, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. Loving mother of Sue Peterson (Todd), and the late Darrell Tanner; She is also survived by grandchildren, Kendall Peterson, Sydney Peterson, her brothers Charles Camp (Lathene), J.C. Camp, sister, Melba Jones (Dewey) and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Preston Camp, Aldean Camp and David Camp.
She retired after working over 42 years with Dekalb County Schools in food service at Snapfinger Elementary School. She was an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved gardening, the outdoors, and all animals.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 7th from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where the funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
