Bobbie Jean Callaway, age 83 of Stockbridge, GA, beloved wife for over 60 years to Clarence Rayford Callaway, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Loving mother of David Callaway (Myra), Marcus Callaway (Sherry) and Matt Callaway (Wynne). Bobbie radiated love and her life was characterized by her love for Jesus, her kindness and compassion. To the family that she adored, she will be remembered as a caring wife, sweet mother and proud grandmother of Alan, Austin, Nicholas, Harris, Ellis, and Charles (Jenna). She will be greatly missed by her loving family and cherished friends.
Our Mother was such a special woman and loved beyond words by her family and many friends throughout a full and blessed lifetime. She had endless energy, an infectious smile and loved to talk! She had incredible inner strength and spirit and found joy in each day. Mom was a talented musician who loved sharing her passion through music ministry at church for many years. She was born and raised in the Atlanta area and was an avid Braves fan! She had a 25+ year career with the City of Atlanta before retiring to the role she truly loved as a Grandmother! Her Grandsons were a constant source of pride and joy for her and she loved every minute she spent with them especially going to the park, fishing, supporting their many sports and activities, cooking everyone’s favorite recipes and celebrating Christmas together.
Others who preceded her in death are her parents Walter Franklin Jones and Ruby Doris Jordan Jones, baby brother Robert, and her loving husband Ray.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Wednesday, February 3rd from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd at 3:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
