Angela Renee Jones

Angela “Angie” Renee Jones, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend was born on February 22, 1966 in Galveston, TX to John and Georgia Robbins. She departed from this earthly life on January 05, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, beginning her eternal journey.

Angie was preceded in death by her cherished grandparents. A proud graduate of Ball High School, Angie furthered her education at Lamar University, where she majored in Business Management. She was a member of the Georgia Mortgage Bankers Association and the Atlanta Association of Professional Women. With over three decades of dedication to the banking industry, Angie’s passion for her work was evident in everything she did. She always strived for excellence. In 2001, Angie met Michael Jones, her soulmate, and they married on a breathtaking beach in Hawaii in 2003. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter.

Angie is survived by her parents, Georgia and John Robbins as well as a devoted, loving husband, Michael Jones. And was a devoted mother to her daughters, Brittany West (Dre), Chelsie Jones, and Taylor Jones. She cherished the role of grandmother to her three grandchildren, Natalie, Aria, and Dylan, whom she adored and spoiled. Angie is also survived by her sister, Lisa Robbins, MD (Dawn), her aunts, Benny Steen, Estela Pleasant, Thelma White, PhD; Uncle, Willie Wyatt; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Angie had a zest for life, enjoying concerts, traveling, football, and spending quality time with loved ones. Last year, she self-published a book entitled “Purpose Through Adversity: A Cancer Journey,” aiming to give a voice to those battling cancer, a testament to her strength and compassion. An exceptionally organized person, Angie took pride in the beautiful home she created with Michael and their beloved dog, Mateo. Her spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Angie. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.

A celebration of her life will occur Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel. Apostle Cedric P. Lynch, officiating.
