Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle Rodriguez, beloved sister, beloved daughter, beloved mom, beloved aunt and beloved member of Little Village in Chicago passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 38. She has left us with many wonderful memories of her love for her children, her church and community. She loved her city and enjoyed taking her children to cultural and social events. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was always extremely generous and compassionate to those who knew her. Michelle had a heart of gold who was always willing to bend over backwards if needed, to help anyone who needed her. She was a shining light in this world and touched the lives of so many, and today we are hurting.

As a young adult she taught English and GED classes to adult students through Association House of Chicago and Centro Sin Fronteras. She also served constituents of her Little Village community and was a faithful member of New Life Church. She is survived by her four children, her life partner and her family. M, Michelle, we love you and will miss you. You will never be forgotten.

Loving mother of Ivan, David, Gisselle and Emma. Beloved daughter of Maria Luisa Lopez and Federico Rodriguez. Cherished sister of Veronica Rivera-Balbuena and Angelica Rivera-Lopez. Beloved aunt to Ryan, Stephanie, Alia, Angelina, Roberto, and Emilio. Sweetheart to Gabriel Dela Luz.

Michelle enjoyed spending time with her kids, her family and church community. She enjoyed taking her kids to Disneyworld, the circus, the Taste of Chicago, Mexican Independence Day and many other events. She was also a Cubs Fan and enjoyed cooking. She knew many people and enjoyed helping others. Michelle was also very giving and always had gifts for people around her. Michelle loved to read the bible and reflect on what she learned. She loved writing in her journal and singing. She was a fashionable and creative person. She was a beautiful bright and shining star.
