She was born in Mexico on March 23rd, 1944, to the late Perfecto and Susana Santana.
Marbella is survived by her children; Mayra (Marcial), Luis (Emma), Perla (Rick), Eduardo (Hector), and Aide (Rene), her 15 beloved grandchildren, her 12 cherished great-grandchildren, as well as countless other family members and friends.
Marbella rejoins her husband, Jose Luis Gomez Amaya, and her son, Roberto in death.
Marbella was a spirited and independent woman who loved family. She was a role-model to her children, teaching them to take care of themselves and always work towards their goals. Marbella did all that she could to give her family the opportunity for a good start in life and the ability to be self-sufficient. She loved her children, her nieces, and nephews profusely and acted as a Mother figure to many. Her strength and love will be remembered by many for years to come.
A gathering for friends and family of Marbella will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. Following a funeral service at 1:30PM, services will conclude at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
