Amelia Gallardo

Amelia Gallardo, age 87, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2024. Amelia was born on January 1,1937 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Consuelo and Carlos Nazario. She was a sister to the late Thomas (the late Sally), Rita (Jesse), Helen and Delia. Amelia was married to the late Joseph Gallardo. Vincent, Angela, Corinna (Thomas) and proceeded by her two sons, the late Phillip (the late Sylvia) and the late Joseph "Jojo". Amelia was a grandmother to 20, great grandmother to 27 great great grandmother to 1, aunt and friend to many.

A proud American, she lived happily though enjoying the simple pleasures; Breakfasts with her golden girls, weekend shopping trips with her daughters, and reading the Suntimes with 8 creamers and 10 sugars in her coffee.

Friends and family will gather for a memorial service for Amelia that will be held on Monday, June 17th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, Illinois 60402.
