‘Linnie’ ushered me into young adulthood in a spirit of kindness, laughter and sisterhood. We shared moments of extreme joy, nonsense and hilarity  together as well as the deepest of confidences and human struggles. I miss her unconditional support every day. She was an enlightened being who I will forever carry  in my heart. RIP my darling sister, you are ever loved.

A little lat sharing this memory.. I am so thankful to have met Linda..she always was so sweet and courteous with me..everytime we'd see each other, she never complained about her life.. She was just happy to be here with us. She spoke  so fondly  of her deceased husband, told me stories of their life, of her stepson  whom she referred to as "my son".  She'd tell me stories of her life, as a teacher,  her students.  She was a remarkable Woman. SHE IS DEEPLY MISSED!  May she watch over her loved ones..my sympathies to her family!

Three weeks have passed since I heard of Linda's passing.  The deep sadness that swept over me that day has not subsided. We were such very close friends for many years in our younger days. Although time and geography caused us to drift apart Linda always held a special place in my very core. I have never in my seventy-plus years had a friend that I felt closer to. She was the most gentle, sensitive, caring person I've ever know. I am so thankful that we reconnected over the past few year and grateful to have shared moments during  her final struggle.  I thank her for these final memories that she was gracious enough to afford me.  She maintained all that I loved and admired about her until the end. Not an easy task I'm sure, but that was her. Rest in peace Linda, the world was, and continues to be, a better place because you were in it. I am so fortunate to be someone whose life was profoundly touched by you. I will never forget.

I am so grateful that I met Linda. Our paths crossed decades ago and as a result my life is much richer. She has been my friend through thick and thin as the expression goes. She was always there for me no matter what. I had quite a few whats over the years. It will take some time to accept that I can't just pick up the phone and have a visit with her. So many good times and soooo much history we shared. No one understood the way she did. We also really liked to laugh and often got the giggles about the most silly things. Bruce and I are grateful for the memory of our visit to Rue De La Boucle in Ste Adele which is truly a corner of paradise. It was fun sitting in the front yard with Linda, Kim and Sherry. It was reminiscent of days gone by. Linda mentioned many times over the years how she would love to live in the country. Kim and Sherry made this dream come true. Rest in Peace Dear Friend. Linda was an extremely close friend to me when I was in my twenties. I met her through her first husband Gary who I had initially worked with at Expo 67, the World’s Fair that took place in Montréal. After getting to know both of them somewhat and then moving here and there I came back to Montreal in 1971 and renewed our friendship. Linda came to be a very special friend whom I could speak to about anything and everything. She was an extremely good listener and offered up advice in very thoughtful and considerate ways. I always felt that I could turn to her and speak openly about most everything. I was a young man at that time and bursting with emotion and feeling and she was always willing to hear me out and offer thoughtful considerations for me to ponder.
We also had tremendous fun together and found things to laugh about often and with ease. Linda never resorted to sarcastic or hurtful comments for her humour. She avoided such, rather always trying to find the good in people. As I continued in my travel and work life I lost touch with her for many years. It was only in the last few years through her great friend Gai Brown that I reconnected with Linda. We spoke on a number of occasions and e-mailed each other quite often. This reconnection meant a great deal to me as we were able to pick up almost as if there had never been any interruption in our relationship. I felt love for her as a true friend and also the ease to tell her so because of her openness and completely unpretentious nature. She was such a wonderful friend to me.
My final wish for her was her expressed desire that she be able to pass at home and peacefully. I  shall cherish my numerous memories of times spent with Linda. I feel that I continue to be  enriched by having known such a wonderful and caring human being. Farewell my good friend. 

Linda was a lovely caring person who was always there for her family.  I always enjoyed speaking with her at every occasion that we were together at at Kevin and Jennifer's house.  She was involved in Dawson's life playing a role in his achievements.   Needless to say that she will not be forgotten as he reaches other milestones throughout his life.  May you rest in peace Linda.

All memories of Linnie are wrapped in unwavering love, drenched in incomparable empathy and sealed forever with warmth and compassion. We are all deeply lessened by her loss. She was extraordinary in humility and grace.
