Judith Alice Ryan

She was born at home on April 9, 1937 in Paris Illinois and was a daughter of the late Morris Sr. and Dora (Cannon) Ashley. Ms. Ryan worked for GTE starting in 1955, and later for Verizon, retiring in 2002. She loved to work and shop. The family moved to Texas in 1977 and in 2002 she retired to Granbury Texas which she dearly loved. She had many good friends and her “little” church which made her happy. Judy loved GOD and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Ryan; grandsons, Lyle Gibson, Mike Ryan; Daughter in law, Regina Ryan; and many loved ones.

She is survived by her son, Gary Ryan of Palestine, TX; daughter, Barbie Applegate and husband William of Virginia; a brother, Charlie Ashley and wife Sharon, and his family of Texas; grandchildren, Laura Chacon and husband Randy, Charlie Ryan and wife Tasha of Colorado, Jerod Applegate and wife Crystal of Virginia; seven great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren, who were all special to her. She is also survived by Kristie Koehn, whom she raised for a time, and they were very close.

She was loved and will be missed by many.
