John Kittredge Shuster, Jr.

Born January 10, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Kittredge Shuster, Sr. and Lucilla (Neal) Shuster.

John was a graduate of Fishburne Military Academy Class of 1966. Following high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Airforce where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam era while stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota from 1966-1969. Following his service to his country, he returned to Staunton where he worked alongside his family as they operated Valley News Agency. For 40 years, the Shuster family was able to distribute news, magazines and books to the City of Staunton and surrounding areas. John was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include his sister, Sandra Shuster of Atlanta, GA; and numerous cousins.

Following cremation, all services will be private.
