Ruth Hayes Reece

Mrs. Ruth Hayes Reece, 76, of 200 Shumaker Dr. Statesville, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home. Born in Iredell County on April 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Walter Hayes and Darlie Rash Hayes. She was a former employee of Badger Sportswear and on April 5, 1958, she married Mr. Wade McKinley Reece who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Wanda R. Cox (Tim) of Mooresville, one brother: Jerry Hayes of Taylorsville and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Cash of Statesville. Also surviving is a grandchild, Kayla Jones of Mooresville.

Services celebrating Ruth's life will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. J.R. Speece officiating. Burial will follow in the Olin Cemetery.

The family will be assembled at the home of the deceased and will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 Friday evening

at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
