Roby Frank Lackey, 85, of Statesville passed away on September 4, 2024. Born to the late Roby and Ina Mae Gibson Lackey, Frank retired from Badger Sportswear where he worked as a cutter in the textile industry. He enjoyed NASCAR, football games, coin collecting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his grandson, Garrick Lackey; five brothers, Harold, Andy, Russell, Billy and Leroy Lackey; and one sister, Margaret Lundy.
Those left to treasure memories of Frank include sister, Johnsie Moulton; sons, Richard & Pam Lackey of Littlestown, PA, and Robert J & Carol Lackey of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren Kimberlee & Philip Clapsaddle, Robert W & Lauren Lackey, Sara Lackey, Jeffrey Lackey, and Marlee Lackey; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Andrick and Phelix Clapsaddle, and Skylar Rose Lackey; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Lackey will be held at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
