Robert Lee Jones

He was born March 14, 1955, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Robert Glover and Elizabeth Jones Hall. He attended Iredell-Statesville Schools. He cared for his mother until her death and formerly attended the First Church of the Nazarene on Pearl Street. He enjoyed cooking, especially salmon patties, cleaning and helping his neighbors by running errands to the store for them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Mitchell Jones and Earl Eugene Jones.

He is survived by his guardian and caregiver, Margaret Stovall Campbell; and a host of cousins and friends.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 5, 2014, at Belmont Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. There will be no formal visitation but the family will speak with friends at the cemetery following the service.
