Mrs. Peggy Ann Sells Duncan

Mrs. Peggy Ann Sells Duncan, 85, of Statesville, passed away at Gordon Hospice House on Monday, September 17, 2018. A native of Iredell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Johnie (Babe) Love Sells and Lucy Ellen Gilleland Sells. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reid Duncan and by a brother, Leo Love Sells.

Mrs. Duncan is survived by her children, Donna Winters (Elmer), Kathy DeHart, Steve Duncan (Donna) and Carolyn Virtue (Kenny). She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Sells Murdock and Fay Sells Poston. Also surviving her are thirteen grandchildren: Dale DeHart, Lucy Mitchell, Ann Wilds, Sandra Matthews, Mandy Daniels, Amber Lipe, Keith Winters, Maria Blevins, Sara Winters, Holly Moose, Natalie Virtue, Daniel Duncan and Trevor Virtue. Twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren are also surviving.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will held at Sharon Lutheran Church in Statesville on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Interment will be private.
