Patricia Jean Martin

She was born July 7, 1942, in Lawrence County, Ohio, to Georgia M. Toney Ward. She worked in banking for a few years, then was a devoted homemaker. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and attended Lawndale Baptist Church in Greensboro with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kimberly K. Martin Feaster.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Norman L. Martin, Sr. of Yadkinville, whom she married on June 22, 1960; a sister, Sharon Sue Martin (Dave Bowen) of Barboursville, WV; children, Norman L. Martin, Jr. (Bernadine) of Davidson and Kathy L. Martin Schell (Carl) of Reidsville; grandchildren, Brandon Kiff (Amanda) and Sarah E. Martin (Kris Hutchens) both of Statesville, Courtney D. Schell of Greensboro, Rodney Feaster of Wilmington, and Pamela D. Martin Workman (Jason) of Ashland, OH; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service celebrating Pat’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2012, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Morphis officiating.

The family will speak with friends at the cemetery, immediately following the service.
