

Born in Iredell County on January 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Duff McCoy Bumgarner and Claudia Brown Bumgarner.
Mrs. Campbell worked as a caregiver and was an active member of South River United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Harvey Campbell and three children, John Harvey Campbell, Jr.; Robert McCoy Campbell and Margaret Lorraine Campbell; one brother, Franklin McCoy Bumgarner; one sister, Lucille Binkley and a special friend, Graham Rice.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan (Gene) Myers, of Woodleaf and Deborah (Rick) Miller of Rockwell; two brothers, Harold L. (Mary) Bumgarner and Jim Bumgarner; one sister, Janie (Jerry) Waller; two daughters-in-law, Melanie Campbell and Sharon Campbell; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at South River United Methodist Church with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Randy Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
