Michael Stewart Rankin, 57, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House.
Born on September 7, 1959 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Lola McGee Rankin.
Mr. Rankin had worked for Statesville Flour Mill Company.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Rankin and Willie J. Rankin.
Those left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Mary Carson and Marcella Williams, both of Statesville and several nieces and nephews.
The family will speak to friends from 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
