Mary Ruth Spry

Born in Clarke County, Mississippi on October 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Alexander and Ruby Pauline Coleman Alexander.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Carl Temple, who died in 1945 during WWII; her second husband, Robert Spry in 2002; one son, Joseph Temple; two grandchildren, Linda Vigil and Christopher Vigil; two brothers, Roland Alexander and Jerry Alexander and one sister, Carrie Murchison.

Mary Ruth spent her years caring for her family, whom she loved greatly. She will be missed by everyone who had the privileged to know her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rodney Temple; daughters, Lillian Vigil, Vickie Bott and Paula Hebert, and one sister, Jean McCall.

She is further survived by ten grandchildren: Robert Vigil, Amy Vigil, Lora Temple, Joey Turner, Malinda Jeffery, Mary Bott Good, Dawn Bott and Jerri Worrell, Loree Hebert, and Courtney Pignone; twelve great-grandchildren: Amber Ervin, Devan Vigil, Stephen Dean, Ashley Downard, Michael Worrell, Matthew Worrell, Kristal Worrell, Brandy Worrell, Kylie Halliburton, Chase Schwab, Aiden Phillips, Victoria Smith; four great-great grandchildren: Rylee Hebert, Joseph Pignone, Giovanni Pignone, and Jaxx Pignone, and nieces and nephews: Harry Murchison, Allen McCall, Karen Smith and Teresa Coleman.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 1:00 PM -2:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Jonathon Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
