Margie Byrd Williams

Born December 7, 1946 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Haze Montaigne and Virginia Frances Gross Hankins.

Margie worked many years as a Nursing Assistant and was a member of Providence Church of the Living God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Geretta Combs and one brother, Robert Montaigne.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Timothy Byrd, Michael Byrd and Paul Byrd; two daughters, Elizabeth Presnell Eades and Deborah Byrd; six grandchildren, Jerid Blevins, Edwin Evans, Joshua Byrd, Richard Campbell, Emily Casskaddon and Ella Byrd; seven great-grandchildren, Colten Byrd, Elyse Byrd, Violet Evans, Lilly Blevins, Cash Evans, Savannah Campbell, Amber Campbell and Jack Todd Blevins and one great-grandchild expected to arrive soon, Dean Gauldin.

She is also survived by three brothers, Joe Montaigne, Larry Montaigne and Elisha James Montaigne and special close family members, James and Traci Montaigne.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 14, 2015 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
