In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sally Ann Whitaker Trivette; son, Rex Allen Trivette; daughter, Sandra McNiel; granddaughter, LeAnn McNiel; and son-in-law, Avery Renegar.
Linnie is survived by his son, Terry (Elizabeth) Trivette; daughter, Teresa Renegar; grandchildren, Tassia Trivette, Katie Adams, Morgan Renegar, Madison Renegar, Kelsey Renegar, Mary Beth McNiel, and Brooke Black; brother Gary Basinger (Linda); numerous great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church, in Harmony, N.C., and he worked as a mechanic for Fiber Industries, Inc. Linnie enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Trivette will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Rock Spring Baptist Church. The funeral service for Mr. Trivette will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Randy Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
