She was the daughter of William Henry Roller and Maude Rainwater Roller and was born in Rockingham, NC.
Mrs. Clark retired from Duke University Hospital North after 17 years as a charge control clerk for the Respiratory Department.
She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Rockingham, NC for many years and for the past several months had been attending Beulah Baptist Church in Statesville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon A. Clark, Sr. as well as brothers Edward, William Henry, Jr., sister Christine Ruby Adkins and daughter Tina Marie Clark.
Surviving are her sister, Sara Helen Elam, of Snyder, Texas and children Vernon A. Clark, Jr. (Deborah), of Statesville, NC, Debra L. Garcia of Gillette, Wyoming, Douglas Wayne Clark of Casper, Wyoming, Eleanor Clark Glenn (Kenny) of Hillsborough, NC. She had nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Always selfless and willing to help others, she donated her body to Wake Forest University Hospital to help learn more about port wine birthmarks and the associated vascular anomalies associated with this condition.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
