Janice Freeland Wilson

Born in Iredell County on April 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Allen F. Freeland and Helena Clodfelter Freeland.

Janice loved her family and caring for and rescuing animals.

She was preceded in death by husbands Don Fleming and Norvell “Butch” Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Pamela Benfield Cooper (Terry) of Hiddenite, Robert Allen Benfield of Statesville and Jerry Jonothan Benfield of the home; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and her first husband, David L. Benfield.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 15, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 16, 2015 at Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eric Faust officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Presbyterian Church cemetery.
