Irene McDaniels Anderson, 85 years old, of Statesville, passed away on March 30, 2018. Irene was born on September 30, 1932 in Iredell County to the late Franklin and Matilda McDaniels. Ms. Anderson retired as a weaver in the furniture industry after many years of working.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, John Henry Anderson in 1992 and her granddaughter Amanda. Irene is survived by her son, Jerry Anderson of Statesville and Timothy Anderson of Statesville; her daughters, Barbara Nichols and her husband Alvin of Millers Creek, NC and Wanda Hobbs and her husband Danny of Stony Point, NC; her brother, Leonard McDaniels of Statesville; her sisters, Lorene Bustle of Statesville and Margie Shepherd of Statesville; 3 grandchildren, Samuel, Christina and Brandon and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday 6-8pm at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, 705 Davie Ave., Statesville. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday 10am at Iredell Memorial Gardens, 2304 Shelton Ave, Statesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be sent to the Ebenezer Christian Children's Home P.O. Box 2777 North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 in Irene’s memory.
