Mrs. Dorothy Inez Lippard Morrow, 87 of Statesville, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2011. She was born January 29, 1924. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey H. Morrow and Samuel R. Morrow; two grandchildren, Wendy M. Bentley (husband Blue), and Christopher D. Morrow of Irving, Texas. She is also survived by three great-granddaughters, Faith, Anna Blue, and Brenna Rae Bentley; one brother Edgar L. Lippard, three sisters, Clarisse Cash, Audrey Kale and Phyllis Gibson (husband Jim ).
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Marvin L. Lippard and Grace Rimmer Lippard of Statesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Morrow, one daughter, Marsha Karen Morrow, a daughter-in-law, Brenda Jenkins Morrow and one brother, Ralph A. Lippard.
She graduated from Celeste Henkel School in Iredell County and retired from Troutman Industries as a supervisor for 27 years.
She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where she taught the Friendship Bible Class for 43 years, and sang in the choir for many years.
Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Cowles Bristol, Pastor of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Reverend Olin Isenhour and Reverend David Mason.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Lippard, Terry Kale, Curtis Kale, David Padgett, Todd Clanton and Chuck Lippard.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 pm, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in the Christian Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 607 Bethlehem Road, Statesville, NC 28677. Condolences may be sent to the family online at bunchjohnsonfuneralhome.com.
