Born in Davie County on April 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Roy Hepler and Margie Speaks Hepler.
Mrs. Sipes retired from Rowan County Food Service and Autumn Care of Mocksville with 25 years of service with both companies.
She attended Cooleemee Church of God, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sipes was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Sipes; three brothers, J.D. Hepler, Moody Hepler and William Troy Hepler; and three sisters, Pauline Danford, Ann Davis and Virginia Hepler.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Delia and Perry Trivitte of Edneyville, NC; one granddaughter, Autumn Swafford; one great-grandson, Allen Swafford and three sisters, Helen Oakley, Christine (Ray) Livengood and Geraldine (Arnold) O’Neal.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Cooleemee Church of God 7704 NC Highway 801 South, Cooleemee, NC 270147 with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Rev. C. Bruce Harry, II officiating. Burial will follow at Gay’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
