Charlotte Patricia Ann Smith

STATESVILLE- Charlotte Patricia Ann Smith, 76, passed away February 6, 2017.

Born July 26, 1940 in McDowellCounty, West Virginia, she was the daughter to the late Ellis Lee and Jenny Margret McCoy.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, James Darrell Smith; son, James William Lee Smith (Debbie), Jackie Wade Smith; grandchildren, Mildred Kay Blankenship Smith and Caiden Ross Smith; siblings, Maggie Ellen McCoy, Richard Earl McCoy, Fred McCoy, Lee Ellis McCoy, Lillian May Steele, Thurman McCoy, Charles Burns McCoy, Clarence Edward McCoy, Laura Ola Nutten, Helen Margret Kauffman, and Dorothy Sue Hatifield.

Survivors include her children Norma M. Smith, Willis J.D. (Tina) Smith, Lawrence W. (David) Smith, Kelly Scott (Michele) Smith; daughter-in-law, Marlene F. Smith; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-child; brothers, Johnny (Mary) McCoy and Willis "Sonny" McCoy, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2 pm in the chapel at Bunch-Johnson.

A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in McDowell County, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
