Billy Gene Carter Jr.

Billy Gene Carter, Jr., 58, of Stony Point, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his residence. Born April 13, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Billy Gene Carter, Sr. and Adrienne Stanus Carter. He attended Catawba County Schools and worked in textiles.

Mr. Carter was of the Lutheran faith.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are his brothers, Herbert Lee Carter, Richard Wayne Carter and Erie Carter, II.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tina Fulbright Carter of the home; son, Aubrey Gene Carter of Mooresville; sister-in-law, Patsy Fulbright Bowman (Charles) of Stony Point; sisters, Linda Brown (Howard) of Mooresville, Sue Macijewski (Benny) of Hickory, and one brother, Mike Carter of Hickory.

He is further survived by a special niece, Carla Johnson (Jason) of Claremont; special nephews, Michael Bowman of Stony Point, Christopher Brown of Mooresville, Patrick Brown of Mooresville, Bryon Macijewski of Newton, and Michael Carter of Hickory; niece Kelly Macijewski of Huntersville; several great-nieces, and great-nephews and his special dog, Ramsey, who brought him love and comfort. Billy was looking forward to seeing his new great-niece, Paisyn, who is expected to be born in December.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The funeral service honoring Billy’s life will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Marvin United Methodist Church with Pastor Naomi King and Preacher Jamie Simerly officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Lutheran Church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Bowman, Michael Bowman, Mike Satterfield, Christopher Brown, Tony Miller, and Bradley Hendren. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwight Elmore.
