She was born December 11, 1941, in Iredell County and was a daughter of the late Albert Clay Dobson and Alice Mae Redmond. She worked in sales of manufactured homes and attended Morning Star Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Warren.
She is survived by two sons, Donnie Boger and his wife, Angie, of Troutman and Dale Boger and his wife, Cindy, of Hickory; a daughter, Lori Boger and Jason Sapp of Mooresville; an honorary sister, Selena Goodin of Statesville; and seven grandchildren, Megan Boger, Tarayan Houston, Stephanie Houston, Kasey Boger, Claire Boger, Chassta Atkins and Ian Harris.
Funeral services celebrating Betty's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2012, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Hams Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Stikeleather, Jason Sapp, Taylor Sigmon, Michael Kruth, Stephen Pedulla and Robin Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Goodin and Rev. Arnold Dulin.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 this evening (Sunday) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of the deceased.
