Mrs. Barbara L. Lamberth Sharpe

She was born January 15, 1942, in Iredell County. She married Calvin K. Sharpe of Iredell County. She worked in the mill industry as a weaver and an instructor for 25 years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Calvin K. Sharpe, a son Thomas W. Sharpe, her mother, Nonnie M. Bowers, and a brother Johnny D. Bowers.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina S. Tutterrow (James); a son, Calvin K. Sharpe, Jr. (Becky); a daughter-in-law, Libby P. Sharpe; five grandchildren, Annie Tutterrow, Adam Tutterrow (Amanda), Justin Sharpe, Laura Sharpe, and Kasey Sharpe; a great-grandson, Aidan Tutterrow; four siblings, Wayne Lamberth (Linda), Ginger Chambers, Robert Bowers (Diane), and Jeannie Hamby; and a brother-in-law, Richard Sharpe (Betty).

Services celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Kilpatrick officiating. Friends and family will be received after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
