Aileen Miller Bolick, age 88, passed away after a length illness of COPD peacefully at her home on Sunday April 8, 2018. Born September 4, 1929, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Cecile and Willie Bolick Miller. Aileen enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of faith, a long time member of Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed her daily devotions. She was a giving and hard working woman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Mutt" Clyde Bolick; her brothers, Bill and Jack Miller and her sister Peggy Fulbright.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Bolick Graham and Judy Bolick Kirksey; her grandchildren, Angela Myers Elder (Scott) and William Lee Kirksey, Jr. ( fiancé Mihaela Patterson); her great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Tanner Elder and Logan Patterson; her brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Jayne Miller and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5759 Bolick Rd. Claremont, NC from 1-3 pm, with the funeral service and burial to follow. The funeral service will be officiated by, Pastor Eric Hollar. The family would like everyone to join them for a fellowship meal and share stories of Aileen after the burial in the church's fellowship building. The family would like to thank the staff of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home for their services.
Pallbearers will be Richard Alexander, Scott Elder, Tommy Fox, Allen and Ted Brown and David Sigmon. Family will be gathering at Mrs. Bolick's residence in Stony Point until the services.
