Mrs. Juanita Burke Kinard, age 79, died Sunday, April 12th, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Kinard was a native of Jenkins County, but had lived in Bulloch County most of her adult life. She loved to provide for her family by cooking and looking after children; her own and many, many others. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading , and was known by her family as a “ word search professional “. Mrs. Kinard was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Juanita was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Billy Kinard, Jr., her parents, Bob and Walton Burke, three brothers, Ted, Bobby, and Billy Burke.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Dannie) Cartee, Statesboro, Joyce White, Statesboro, and Ellen Bunch, Portal; a son, Cleve (Lori) Kinard, Statesboro; a sister, Regis Moore, Millen; a brother, Fred Burke, Millen; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Carlton Hendrix officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be : Romaine Cartee, Royce Cartee, Rusty Cartee , John David White, Drew Bunch, Bryce Kinard, and Shane Padgett.
Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
