Joe was a native of Dublin and had lived in Bulloch County for more than 20 years. He was Termite Technician retiring from Terminix with 24 years of service and attended Bona Bella Baptist Church in Savannah. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War in Germany as a truck drive. Joe was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and watching TV. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Stinson, Sr.
Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Stinson of Brooklet; mother, Betty Stinson of Richmond Hill; sons, Tony Stinson and his wife, Kim of Guyton and Joey Stinson and his wife, Hanna of Nevils; daughters, Rachel Clarke and Brandy Ireland both of Midway; brother, Jerry Stinson of Macon; sisters, Patricia Ryon and her husband, John of Midway and Susan Risler and her Ed of Athens, GA.; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick McElveen officiating.
Burial will be held privately.
