Mr. Harvey L. Allmond, age 60, died Saturday August 13, 2011 at his residence. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. He was a John Deere Mechanic and worked at Blanchard Equipment Company for many years. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Edward Allmond, his father, Mose Edward Allmond, and his daughter, Jennifer Miranda Allmond.
Survivors include his one daughter, Jessica Allmond of Pembroke; mother, Mrs. Mary J. Allmond of Statesboro; one sister, Jeanette Guntner of Pensacola, Florida; three brothers, Mickey E. Allmond of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mark Duane Allmond and Dwight A. Allmond, both of Statesboro; and two grandchildren, Crystal Miranda Mock and Jennifer Lynleah Allmond; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. J. D. Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Saunders, Sammy Groover, Dennis Lee, Ronnie Bishop, John Hunter, and Bill Blanchard.
