Georgia Ree Bland

Mrs. Georgia Ree Bland, age 82, passed away at home on December 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was a mother to six children and a homemaker. Mrs. Bland was a member of the International Christian Believers Fellowship church of Savannah. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, making crafts, playing dice games , cards , and absolutely loved to fish. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Willie o. Bland and sons, David Bland and Billy Bland.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Grooms, Savannah, GA and Vicky Olier(Gerald), Thibodaux ,LA; two sons, Greg Bland (Sandra), Warren, MO and Gary Bland (Tammy), Orange Park, FL; sisters, Carolyn Walker and Brenda Means, both of Longview, TX, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 6th 2016 from 12p.m. until 1p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Jessi Pamplona officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family request that memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of their choice.
