Elizabeth Ann Waterman

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hosner Waterman, 70, died Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born July 30, 1940, in Duryea, Pa. She was a retired accountant and was presently studying to become a minister. She was a member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church. Mrs. Waterman was a longtime, active member of the Walk to Emmaus community and taught Sunday School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Hosner; and two brothers, Joseph and William Hosner.

She is survived by her two sons, Melvin B. Waterman Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Joseph Earl Waterman of Statesboro; daughter, Debra Elaine Booth of Statesboro; her sister-in-law, Ester Hosner; a nephew, Joseph Hosner, both of Duryea, Pa.; four grandchildren, Christina A. (Tripp) Hagan of Statesboro, Jenny R. Waterman of Savannah, Cynthia (Joshua) Deese of Columbia, South Carolina, and Amber E. Booth of Statesboro. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Logan, Faith, Alyssa and Nessie; and a special family friend, Michael Gingrich of Columbia, South Carolina.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
